Stretching your own attack line off your own rig provides valuable redundancy and other benefits but is becoming a lost art. 🚒💦🔥 ⚠️ When ALL the attack lines on the fireground are coming off of ONE rig, being fed by ONE water supply, you are ONE thing away from BIG FAILURE. The way we ran in the DC metro, every engine had a positive water supply either by receiving water from the hydrant or pumping the hydrant. As a result, we could all advance our own lines off of our own engines to the fire
