After reading through latest CDPR investor presentations, Phantom Liberty was a massive hit. Not only it brought a big pile of cash, but a community trust. Making a second expansion looking like a great investment (cost and time to develop an expansion is much smaller than the whole game). You can also use a small team and do it in parallel.

Just recently finished Starfield, played it for over 150+ Hours and now i will immediately jump to my new 4th playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 when Patch 2.0 drops tomorrow, and then Phantom Liberty 1 week later, and then after finishing that then finally finish Baldur's Gate III that i dropped at Act III 2 weeks ago mainly to play Starfield.

The problem with cyberpunk was the bad propaganda and how easily is to manipulate people into repeating nonsense like parrots. Cyberpunk was a fantastic game from the very beginning, with flaws sure, but still fantastic. And with all the updates and fixes it’s a waste of huge potential to not release more dlcs now that the bugs are gone.

However the issue I have with it, (personal issue) is after beating most of phantom liberty im already street cred 50 with many legendary weapons and just hitting epic cyberware. and I havent even visited rogue for the first time yet lmao.

Aug 15, 2023 · Well to answer your question since the expansion will overhaul some major systems I’d probably wait. Just to have the „best“ experience when playing for the first time. But not to get me wrong. At this point the game is already very fun and one of my all time favourites so if you can’t wait.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an astonishing game, with unparalleled levels of depth and detail, and I’m totally willing to pay for as much content as possible. I hope they make a second expansion, and continue to release content until the next installment of the franchise.

I think CDPR even took an inspiration from some of his mods for the 2.1 update. While there are no big DLC/expansion mods now, that doesn't mean there won't be any in the future.
