Jul 31, 2024 · Some fellow pizza geeks and I had the opportunity to test out the Ooni Koda 2 Max last weekend and really put it through its paces, cooking maybe a dozen pies in it over the course of the afternoon. Thought I'd share my initial thoughts about it here since there's still so little info out there about this oven as of July 2024.

Dec 24, 2020 · For pizzas that bake for longer at lower temperatures (New York, Sicilian, Grandma, Detroit), I typically still use my home oven. I don't need the heat of the Ooni and the home oven holds the temperature more constant over the longer bake time. You definitely can make these styles in the Ooni though, just for fun or some extra charring.

Feb 26, 2024 · Unless Ooni comes out publically within a month to at least say something about it, I think I'll probably give in and get an Arc XL. Vaporware could be a year out for all we know. With my luck if I wait a month and Ooni says nothing and I buy an Arc, this will launch a 2 weeks later. And if I decide to wait, it won't come out until January lol.

Jul 25, 2019 · So, I ordered a 14" x 5/8" stone. It actually measures about 13 15/16". Also, it turns out the Ooni measures more like 13 5/8" where the top of the stone hits because of the upper heat shield. My initial plan was to deform the steel a bit where the widest part of the stone sits.

Mar 26, 2021 · The ooni fyra is a pellet only pizza oven. It is an upgrade to the ooni 3 oven. There was a interesting post in the Facebook fyra group where a member attached the Onni gas burner to the back of the oven using magnets.since I have a burner I needed to try this hack.

Feb 25, 2024 · I do remember Ooni went from announcing the Volt to launching it in like a week or something so maybe. I don't know if I agree on the $$$, but I'd love it if this is under $1k. I have my doubts though. This is way more oven than the Karu 16 and that's $799 without the gas burner. Ooni has been upping their already high prices over the past few ...

Mar 6, 2023 · The two ovens that I am primarily considering are the Ooni Koda 16 and Halo Versa 16. Does anyone have input on which of the two you would recommend for a complete newbie? My understanding is the Ooni gets hotter and would be better for Neopolitan style pizza, while the Halo excels at New York style and has the added benefit of the rotating stone.

May 24, 2019 · I have an Ooni Pro and an Ardore; I prefer the Ardore for several reasons, although I would like to have a higher opinion of the Ooni, if possible. My propane gas burner for the Ooni went out after only a few uses; it is being replaced and the burner should be arriving today. The customer service on that aspect has been good.

Mar 8, 2024 · The Ooni Koda 12 cordierite stone is 10 mm, the Gozney Arc XL cordierite is 20 mm, and both biscotto stones are 25 mm. It looks a little chunky in the Ooni but the height doesn't cause any problems. It looks quite nice in the Gozney and the height difference is negligible.
