Lucien Vanserra (pronounced: Loo-shien[2]) is a High Fae and former emissary to the Spring Court. He is the current emissary to the Night Court. Lucien is the son of the Lady of the Autumn Court and Helion, the High Lord of the Day Court, as a result of their secret love affair.

The youngest of the Vanserras is Lucien Vanserra, who self-exiled from the court after his stepfather and brothers murdered the female he loved for being a lesser faerie instead of High Fae.

Feyre recalls the chaos in the throne room. The Attor, Lucien’s brothers, the nasty faeries, and Rhysand disappeared. Some fae celebrated, others stood in shock. The High Fae and faeries of the Spring Court thanked Tamlin and Feyre. Tamlin and his allies met to plan their next steps.

Lucien was a member of the Fall Court, but was forced to flee to the Spring Court when his brothers and father threatened his life. Lucien is steadfastly loyal to Tamlin, but he nevertheless has the ability to speak truth to power.

Eris, Lucien’s oldest brother and presumed heir to the Autumn Court, holds a knife to Feyre’s throat. Feeling their magic returning, Feyre and Lucien make the cave collapse and narrowly escape.

Eris and his brothers happen upon Lucien Vanserra and Feyre Archeron, who had just fled from the Spring Court and were traveling to the Night Court on foot until they regained their magic.

Feyre and Lucien fight and kill the royals, but her physical and magical strength is sapped from the poison. She agrees to take Lucien with her to the Night Court. They travel through the Autumn and Winter lands, where Lucien’s brothers find and try to kill them, but Azriel and Cassian of the Night Court rescue them.
