Mar 6, 2010 · I watched the past weekend's Monaco GP and noticed that each time a car hit the wall and the tyres burst, a small explosion occurred. This tells me that there is some form of combustible gas in the tyres. Just out of interest, does anybody know what type of gas is used by F1 teams and why?

Jul 10, 2010 · Next year F1 cars will have a generator and big batteries again as all teams will most certainly revert to using the 2009 spec KERS systems. There is also a pretty good chance that rules on generators may change in the next years in the run up to the formula change.
