Nov 12, 2020 · -AC Unity, This mag immediately reminded me of a P mag. That to me was a very positive note to begin on as I love my P mags. The windowed sides are a positive as well. They are slightly bulkier than the other 2 mags and slightly longer. When inserting into the firearm it was EXTREAMLY snug.

Nov 19, 2020 · The AC Unity mag has front and rear reinforced locking tabs. These are not steel, they are 410 zinc alloy. They do not appear to have reinforced front or rear spine. Feed lips are not reinforced. Similar to other Yugo magazines, the AC Unity magazines have a bolt hold open follower, by way of a thick reinforcement insert molded into the follower.

May 10, 2021 · I’ve used a few AC Unity mags, done my own tests and the spring (for me) hasn’t been truly reliable. I kept one fully loaded for over a month and a half: nothing but feeding issues (gen1 mag). That being said: I bought a bunch of the higher cap stuff in the hopes to resell. $13 for a 40 round poly: sign me up.

Sep 10, 2023 · I only run ac-unity mags nowadays. My first order of waffle mags were allegedly all out of spec and wouldn’t feed properly, so Steyr replaced them with waffles that function properly. The new ones I received require a much heavier depression of the bolt release when changing mags, though they feed properly now.

At $22 per unit, not a bad first outing or impession. 45 round 5.45 x 39 magazines worked fine in Krink and the metal reinforced bolt hold open follower was a nice surprise bonus. All in all AC-Unity seems like and up and coming European version of Magpul

Feb 18, 2022 · I ended up throwing mine out. I shoot about 1000 rds a month full auto through my mp5s, these mags suck ****. Extra rounds end up exploding up when a round gets stripped. Don’t waste your money. Same problem with the ac unity ak mags

Oct 15, 2022 · Obviously there's no KC logo on the AC Unity mags and you see the 5.45x39 at the base of the mag which isn't present on the KC mags. You'll also notice the difference in the locking lug material and color. The AC Unity mag being an alloy and the KC mags being steel. Also, the feed lips on the AC Unity mags are not reinforced.
