Dec 14, 2024 · Yes, Apple changed the Siri voice with iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence. Personally, I find Siri sounds more human in her or his responses. I like the change. If you, however, don'd like it, provide feedback to Apple here --> Product Feedback - Apple. I personally will use the same link if Apple changes it back. It works both ways.

It only works if I press the side button, not by me saying "hey siri" etc. I have turned siri off and back on again and done the 5 phrases to set it up and still nothing. I have changed the language, changed the voice, changed to prefer spoken response' and still nothing. Obviously on IOS18.

Sep 18, 2024 · Siri can't speak. If I ask Siri something when connected to CarPlay, the Siri globe shows up, but Siri doesn't reply by voice. Google Maps navigation works fine in that directions are spoken, but Siri is clearly broken after the iOS 18 update. Disconnecting from CarPlay makes Siri function just fine. So it's a Siri + CarPlay + iOS 18 problem.

Aug 16, 2022 · Every time I open the Siri & Search section of the settings app, I can see it says “Support for processing voice input on iPhone is downloading.” And then about 15 seconds later changes to “Support for processing voice input on iPhone will download later when connected to Wi-Fi.” I am connected to Wi-Fi so this must be a bug.
