Iconic journalist who helped expose Jeffrey Epstein says Trump’s base is finally seeing what he really thinks of them.

As some Donald Trump supporters express anger with the U.S. president over his administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, he says he "no longer" wants their support — and he might not get it during the 2026 midterms.

President Donald Trump is now comparing the Jeffrey Epstein files to the Russia investigation and other past inquiries that disrupted his first term. But unlike Trump-Russia, many of the president’s supporters are deeply invested in what happened with Epstein.

Trump has sharply criticized his own MAGA supporters, calling them “stupid people” and “gullible weaklings” amid growing controversy over the Jeffrey Epstein case. The Department of Justice and FBI recently released a report denying the existence of a high-profile client list linked to Epstein,

Conservative commentator Candace Owens decried the scandal as a “terminal cancer to the MAGA movement.” Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson argued: “The fact that the U.S. government, the one that I voted for, refused to take my question seriously and instead said, ‘Case closed, shut up conspiracy theorist,’ was too much for me.”

Trump lashed out at his MAGA base on Wednesday over their meltdown to the Justice Department’s memo that concluded that Epstein had no “client list” of high-profile public figures involved in the scandal. He said in his Truth Social post that he no longer wanted the support of those who cared about the case.
