Massachusetts Governor and former Harvard basketball player Maura Healey tiptoed around the idea of poaching the Sun, when she declared Tuesday WNBA Day in Massachusetts. But, in her official proclamation, she called for the league to put a franchise in Boston. It read:
The Fever and Sun raved about the "amazing experience" of playing in front of a sellout crowd of 19,156 fans Tuesday night at Boston's TD Garden.
On the NBA side, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown made an appearance pregame during the Sun’s block party on Canal St. During the game, he sat courtside along with Celtics teammate Georges Niang and a pair of Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox players.
Tina Charles added another double-double to her record and Leïla Lacan had a career-high 19 points off the bench in the Sun's loss to the Fever on Tuesday night.

BOSTON — Natasha Howard scored 18 points with 13 rebounds to lead the Indiana Fever to an 85-77 victory over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night in front of a sold-out crowd of 19,156 at the home of the Boston Celtics and Bruins.
"It just shows the growth and the expansion of the league,” Connecticut Sun forward Tina Charles said of playing at the TD Garden against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday.
