On Saturday, the sky above the District seemed to be about three things, each of them worthy of attention. They were rain, the threat (or promise) of rain and the picturesque appearance of the profuse and constant clouds that either brought the rain or threatened to.

Heads up, Massachusetts, all-day rain, including heavy downpours and thunderstorms, is expected statewide on Saturday.

Rain may briefly stop in the morning, but it's expected to return during the afternoon with a slight chance of thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.
