What do you do when the sun won’t leave you alone day and night? More than 50 million people in the Western United States are under heat advisories this weekend, with temperatures soaring into the triple digits from Washington to Arizona.

Dangerously hot conditions hit states up and down the West Coast over the weekend, owing to a persistent heat wave stretching from the Pacific Northwest to California and the desert Southwest.

Parts of California, Oregon and Washington state will experience extreme heat at least through Tuesday, forecasters said.
