The Texas Rangers placed Jake Burger on the 10-day injured list on Monday, a day after the infielder suffered a left wrist sprain against Toronto. Burger, 29, will make his third trip to the IL over the past two months.

First baseman Jake Burger, who had a 1.097 OPS in August, was placed on the IL on Monday with a sprained left wrist. It is Burger’s third trip to the IL this season. The Rangers recalled outfielder Alejandro Osuna from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Burger.
