The Atlanta Dream will look to continue its push up the WNBA standings when they travel to the Michelob ULTRA Arena on Tuesday night to face the Las Vegas Aces.

In the loss to the Aces, Brittney Griner was passed by A’ja Wilson for the most games in WNBA history with over 30 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks. After the announcement was made by the WNBA, the Dream star’s wife, Cherelle Griner, took to social media, sending a message to Wilson.

A'ja Wilson is completely taking over the WNBA, as evidenced by her historic game on Tuesday in leading the Aces to their 8th straight win.

Brittney Griner has emerged as a star for the Atlanta Dream in her first season with the team, playing under head coach Karl Smesko. Atlanta has played their way into the WNBA title conversation, joining several other top teams in the league, such as the Minnesota Lynx and the New York Liberty.

With less than a month left in the WNBA regular season, the Minnesota Lynx have a firm lock on the top seed in the playoffs. The rest of the postseason picture still is up in the air, with more than half the league jockeying for positioning.

The Aces started August with a 53-point loss to Minnesota but have ridden a seven-game winning streak up to No. 2 in the Power Rankings following wins over New York, Phoenix and Dallas -- and could soon be second in league standings. A'ja Wilson has averaged 26.1 points and 13.3 rebounds over their win streak to find herself in the MVP race again.

The Dream, second in the WNBA, are having one of their most memorable regular seasons to date. With eight wins in its last ten games, Atlanta remains firmly in the playoff picture, and remains one of the league’s most balanced squads.
