A Delta Air Lines flight caught fire on the tarmac at Orlando International Airport on Monday, forcing passengers to evacuate using emergency slides, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The engine fire broke out on Delta Air Lines Flight 1213 while the plane was pushing back from the gate for departure around 11:15 a.m. before heading from Orlando to Atlanta on Monday morning.
There were 282 passengers on board. Delta Air Lines flight DL1213 was evacuated at Orlando Airport after flames were seen from the No. 2 engine during startup. Emergency slides were deployed.
