To celebrate Goodyear’s 100th Anniversary, one of their famous blimps will be taking to the skies in Lawton later this week.

The winds of change are blowing toward Lawton. Carter Wind Turbines has chosen the south central Oklahoma town 45 minutes north of Wichita Falls as the location for their new manufacturing plant.

The Lawton plant, which currently employs 2,900 workers, will see its overall capacity boosted to nearly 120,000 units daily. Goodyear Tire & Rubber will invest $320 million in Lawton, OK expansion.
