Rodney Barreto’s new term as chairman of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission will run until January 2029.

The vote was 31-7 to confirm the Miami-Dade developer and lobbyist as head of the state agency protecting Florida’s waterways and investigating boat crashes.
