The Yankees' great and his wife are at the center of a lawsuit around the cover up of alleged sexual abuse of a minor.

Ichiro Suzuki was voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday, but was one vote shy of being unanimous. This questions the integrity of the voting process.

Whoever left Ichiro deserves all of the ire coming their way, but they'll never get it. It's just like the lone voter who left Derek Jeter off of their ballot five years ago. We still don't know who did that and that's Derek freakin' Jeter, guys. If we're not finding out who did it for him, then we're certainly not finding out for Ichiro.

Other bits of intrigue ahead of Tuesday's 6 p.m. announcement: Will CC Sabathia be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and is this the year Billy Wagner gets in?

CC Sabathia officially became the latest longtime Yankee to reach the Baseball Hall of Fame when the voting by the Baseball Writers Association of America was announced Tuesday night, sending Sabathia to Cooperstown along with Ichiro Suzuki and former Mets reliever Billy Wagner.

Ichiro falls a vote short of being the second unanimous choice ever. CC makes it in his first year of eligibility, Wagner in his last. The recent ballot glut has cleared.

It won't be official until the voting is released, but Ichiro Suzuki is heading to the Hall of Fame.  The Japanese outfielder is expected to be one of the names inducted into Cooperstown in the 2025 Baseball Hall of Fame class.

The bar has been set outrageously high. When it comes to the New York Yankees, being a closer means being compared to the best closer in the game's history: Mariano Rivera. So Devin Williams will come into the Bronx and be well aware of the expectations when he takes the ball to close out games for the Yankees.

The trio will be inducted into the Hall at Cooperstown on July 27 along with Dave Parker and Dick Allen, voted in last month by the classic era committee.
