The Jaguars sacked Shough twice and forced an ugly intentional grounding penalty that killed Shough’s opening drive. He finished the contest completing 9 of his 12 passes for 66 yards with an 87.5 passer rating before yielding to Rattler for the second half.

New Orleans Saints rookie Tyler Shough will get the start for Sunday's preseason game against the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Kellen Moore announced on Saturday.

Shough, the team's second-round draft pick, didn't do too much in his half. Spencer Rattler was better off the bench. Other than a bad interception in the red zone late in the fourth quarter, Rattler played pretty well Sunday. Perhaps a late touchdown pass by Rattler in the two-minute drill will be enough to get Rattler the QB1 job.
