A room full of skateboards on Black Ops 6's map "Grind" teases a new announcement for the venerable skateboarding franchise.

Tony Hawk himself previously revealed a Pro Skater 3+4 remake had been in the works at one point following the success of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2. However, plans were reportedly scuppered when Activision merged developer Vicarious Visions into Blizzard, turning it into support studio for the Diablo franchise and other Blizzard games.

Ahead of a full reveal, a list of platforms has leaked for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, including PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

Guess the dust has settled. In addition to the Call of Duty tease, we had skater Tyshawn Jones mention on a recent podcast (via Video Games Chronicle) that "I'm in a Tony Hawk coming out," and "They got a new one they remastering so that's about to come out, I was in the last one."

It’s expected that the new game, likely a remaster of THPS3 and THPS4, will be officially revealed on that day. The very first Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game was released by Activision in September 1999. Although the 25th anniversary has come and gone, Hawk revealed last year that he has been in contact with Activision about doing something to celebrate that quarter century milestone. Hawk later confirmed that the long-running franchise will continue.

Activision may finally be ready to start talking about its next Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game, and it seems to be using a sneaky Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Easter Egg to get the conversation started.

While nothing has been announced for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, it might be safe to assume that it'll have some of the new features that were added to THPS 1 + 2, such as Create-a-Skater, a manual and challenge system, remastered soundtrack, improved controls online multiplayer, Create-a-Park and new cosmetics.
