Much to the joy of some and displeasure of others, snow was falling across Nashville and Middle Tennessee Friday, with many residents likely to see several inches of the white stuff before day's end.

All of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky are under a Winter Storm Warning starting Friday. The warning for Lincoln, Moore, and Franklin counties runs from midnight Friday to 6 AM Saturday. The rest of Middle TN and Southern KY are under the warning from 3 AM Friday to 6 AM Saturday.

FOX 17 News meteorologists say 5 to 7” is possible for Nashville's Metro area and our southern counties, with a pocket of 8". It’s possible a winter mix could develop in our southern counties. If that occurs, snow totals could be slightly less.
