Wall Street shifted lower in early trading Wednesday as markets took in more corporate earnings reports while considering the impact of tariffs being imposed by the United States and China.

The stock markets in the US opened higher on February 4 as investors remained cautious about China's stance on the Trump tariffs. Salesforce shares were trading 1.64% higher in the early market session.

The stock market opened with steep losses Monday in the wake of President Donald Trump's aggressive new tariffs on Canadian, Mexican and Chinese goods.
