This is quite a unique arrangement involving two parties who no longer want to be together but aren't willing to force a divorce at this point in the offseason.

ESPN Insider Mike Tannenbaum spoke on what the Falcons should do with Kirk Cousins. "Have to trade him... He doesn't want to be there and that has been well documented," Tannenbaum mentioned.

While the future at quarterback appears to be completely in the hands of Michael Penix Jr. for now, Cousins still remains on the current roster. There are no guarantees that will continue to be the case, but Falcons GM Terry Fontenot is putting nothing off of the table.
