USA Baseball today announced the preseason watch list for the Golden Spikes Award presented by Chinook Seedery, beginning the process of identifying the best amateur baseball player in the nation for the 2025 season.

Alabama Crimson Tide starting shortstop Justin Lebron was named to the 2025 Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list on Friday.

1. Jace LaViolette, OF, Texas A&M: LaViolette, a first-team All-American in 2024, is a projected top-three pick in the MLB Draft this summer and is the leader of the top-ranked team in the preseason. He checks a lot of boxes for a Golden Spikes Award winner.

Arkansas infielder Wehiwa Aloy and pitcher Gabe Gaeckle have been named to the preseason watch list for the Golden Spikes Award.
