A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Cuba on Sunday, causing material damage in several regions as the island continues to recover from widespread blackouts and the impact of two hurricanes over the past few weeks.

After weeks of hurricanes and blackouts have left many in Cuba reeling, an earthquake has left people shaken as rumbling was felt across the eastern stretch of the island, including in bigger cities like Santiago de Cuba,

Back-to-back earthquakes hit southeastern Cuba on Sunday, damaging houses, buildings and power lines as well as causing landslides, the goverment said.
