The York Rangers have placed Chris Kreider on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. This comes after he missed Sunday afternoon’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks and was just listed as day-to-day.

In a corresponding move, the Rangers called up Matt Rempe, who was sent down to Hartford on Monday when Arthur Kaliyev got claimed off waivers. Rempe still needs to sit out one more game after being suspended eight games for boarding and elbowing Dallas' Miro Heiskanen back on Dec. 20.
