A new federal court filing says Kilmar Abrego Garcia experienced "severe beatings" and "psychological torture" in a supermax prison in El Salvador.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was allegedly beaten and psychologically tortured during his time at CECOT, according to new court filings – reigniting a closely watched case playing out in two U.S. courts.

In a filing from his attorneys, Abrego Garcia alleges being beaten, kicked and subject to psychological abuse after being wrongfully deported to the Salvadoran megaprison.
