Creators looking to play around with AI video tech are in for a Valentine's Day treat. YouTube Shorts has new AI video capabilities, thanks to Google's AI video model, Veo 2, being integrated into the video platform.

Google added Veo 2 to YouTube Shorts, enabling users to add AI video clips to Shorts. I played around with this a few times, mostly with cats eating planets (I wanted to see it). The results were not particularly convincing from a feline or astronomical perspective but I certainly ended up with a video that included the elements I described.
