New York Mets superstar outfielder Juan Soto gave Brett Baty a new car after Baty gave up his No. 22 for Soto after the outfielder signed a huge contract with the Mets.

It was included in Juan Soto's $765 million contract with the Mets that he must wear No. 22. He made up to taking Brett Baty's jersey number in a big way on Thursday.

But that number was already taken by Baty, who has played for the Mets since 2022. It was important for Soto to keep his jersey number, though, so he worked something out with Baty.

Soto, who's worn No. 22 his entire career, had a dilemma on how to acquire the jersey number with Mets third baseman Brett Baty, who wore the number prior to Soto's arrival in Queens.
