Katy Perry has worn a number of hats at the MTV Video Music Awards over the years, from winner to performer to presenter. Heck, she even hosted one year. But after Wednesday’s VMAs, Perry can add one more elusive title to her impressive resume: Video Vanguard.

Taylor Swift supported former rival Katy Perry by dancing and singing along to Perry’s Video Vanguard Award performance of her greatest hits at the 2024 MTV VMAs on Wednesday night. Swift, 34, also had a viral reaction during Perry’s acceptance speech,

“There are no decade-long accidents,” she stated. The medley included songs from spanning her entire career, including “Dark Horse,” “E.T.,” “It’s His, He’s Mine,” “California Girls,” “Teenage Dream,” “I Kissed A Girl,” “Firework” and “Lifetimes.”
