General Motors is recalling nearly 600,000 vehicles across its Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC brands in the U.S. due to potential manufacturing defects that can cause engine failure. The recall covers certain Cadillac Escalades and Escalade ESVs;

The recall follows a January investigation​ by U.S. auto safety regulators into reports of engine failure in certain GM vehicles.

General Motors is recalling hundreds of thousands of trucks and SUVs equipped with its 6.2-liter V8 engine. It turns out some internal components may have manufacturing defects, the kind that don’t just hurt performance, but can actually cause serious damage or even complete engine failure.
