Morocco's initiative to offer access for Sahel countries to the trade network and routes of the Atlantic Ocean has been endorsed by the landlocked countries of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.

Casablanca - Morocco’s flag carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Monday the launch of a new direct flight route connecting Casablanca to Catania (Sicily) in Italy, starting from June 28, 2025.
