This week's Heart of Stark showcases the Schalmo Family YMCA in Canal Fulton, which is offering coding and robotics workshops for kids this summer.

Instructor, Jessica Jones, explained the kids learn about everything from data analytics, programming, app development, and coding, all for free.

The Hour of Code is backed by Amazon and Microsoft. It's a really powerhouse of a non-profit, it's free to use, and it's really easy for the kids to start to learn how to do coding," explained Bowman.

Kids in Tucson are learning digital literacy, problem solving and coding by building their own video games at Code Ninjas.
