Netflix's new Sonic series won't be the hedgehog's only media outing in 2022. A sequel to last year's Jim Carey starring Sonic the Hedgehog movie is due to release on 8th April 2022.

Sega and Hardlight have revealed Sonic Dream Team, a vibrant platformer coming exclusively to iOS via Apple Arcade on December 2023.

The opening animation for Sonic Superstars has bee released by SEGA and the game's developer, Arzest.
