At 6:36 p.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service released an updated severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 7 p.m. The warning is for Clay, Caldwell, Clinton and Ray counties.
A strong thunderstorm rolled into metro Denver on Thursday afternoon and was expected to bring wind gusts up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm traveling east has already resulted in an evacuation order from the Harley-Davidson festival on Milwaukee's lakefront.
Damaging winds and hail so large it could cause injury to people and animals and damage buildings was expected with the storms.
