A California man has been arrested for abducting a 10-year-old child he reportedly met on social media apps Roblox and Discord, authorities said Wednesday.

Police say a 37-year-old man groomed an Iowa teen he met on game platform Roblox, then drove her Tennessee, his home state, to sexually assault her.

A 10-year-old girl was kidnapped by a man who messaged her on Roblox and Discord. She was found hundreds of miles from her home the next day.

Louisiana sued the online gaming platform Roblox on Thursday, alleging the wildly popular site has perpetuated an environment where sexual predators “thrive, unite, hunt and victimize kids.” ...
