Common LISP has a command line parameter to compile the source LISP to a .fas file as well. While you still need clisp to run it, the program won't be interpreted anymore.
Do Lisp libraries compile into some sort of file that I can simply drop into my project? (OK that is just very wishful thinking) Am I getting warmer? Colder?
