Facebook-owned Instagram has started rolling out QR code support to the app. This means that now users can generate scannable QR codes using any supporting or third-party camera apps.
Instagram is launching in-app QR codes worldwide via an update, according to The Verge. Users will now be able to generate QR codes that are scannable from any third-party QR camera app.
Alternatively, on the web, users can add “/qr” to a post’s URL to generate a QR code. Notably, Instagram has had the feature of sharing profiles through QR codes for a few years now.
