Solving a Rubik’s Cube doesn’t have to be complicated. In this video, I break down the easiest method step-by-step, making it simple for beginners to follow along and finally crack the cube.

Step 1: White Cross You should be able to complete this step just by playing around with the cube. Make sure that the edges of the cross match the center squares on the adjacent sides.

I assumed that successfully unscrambling a cube would forever remain on my bucket list, but a smart Rubik’s Cube is finally teaching me the strategies to solve one.

The step-by-step solving interface isn’t as foolproof as the MCS instructions, but I like the way it visualizes the cube. I prefer it to the updated version, Cube Snap 2.

The Connected Cube sadly won’t have me cracking into the world rankings, but I can now, with increasing reliability, solve a Rubik’s Cube from scratch, without any help.
