The Esterman test has been said to favour the lower field of vision, which it’s argued, by some, makes the test ineffective for accurately assessing your vision for driving.

Patients failing the Esterman visual field test twice had their results substantiated by the monocular Humphrey 30–2 test which in all cases confirmed the visual field loss.
