When the Num Lock function is enabled, these keys act as a number pad. To get the keys working as part of the normal keyboard again, you'll need to turn off the Num Lock function.

Unable to find the BIOS setting, and out of frustration, I set InitialKeyboardIndicators to 1 (disable Num Lock key). So far, Num Lock seems to remain OFF after two different reboots.
