The GSRP Start Up program started in 2023, and has since awarded more than $18.5 million to providers in all 56 intermediate school districts, opening 749 new and expanded classrooms.

He said the district has about 700 open classrooms and it could take up to two years to complete the initiative using district maintenance and construction workers.
