A North Carolina House committee has approved legislation that would mandate high schoolers to pass a computer science class starting in fall 2024.
The concept of requiring schools to offer computer science courses is part of Gov. Eric Holcomb’s 2018 legislative agenda.
These courses include a series of classes for people who have little or no experience with computers, as well as a few more advanced classes. All classes are free and open to the public.
