James Gunn Shares THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD Update And Says Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN 2 Script Is "Great"
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has shared an update on The Brave and the Bold, confirming a writer is still attached to the movie and hard at work on the script. He's also called The Batman sequel "great.
To this, Gunn's answer was a simple "two". This means that while The Batman: Part II script is finished, The Brave and the Bold script is still being worked on. Simultaneously, it is imperative to note that this interview may have taken place before Matt Reeves confirmed that the script for Part II was complete on June 28, 2025.
Part II's script in, there's a lot of skepticism that we're still getting the DCU's The Brave and The Bold movie.
The Brave and the Bold doesn't appear to be taking shape at DC Studios anywhere near as quickly as most fans would like, and a new update suggests the reboot doesn't even have a writer working on
James Gunn is keeping busy shaping the future of the DCU, and Batman fans may want to start paying close attention. According to Gunn, he expects two completed Batman scripts to be in his hands before the end of 2025.
Superman isn't the only superhero featured in the candy-colored action film, written and directed by Gunn. The Last Son of Krypton will be joined by other superfriends, including Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.
Looks like we now know the project in which the DCU Batman will make his debut: it is in his announced solo movie, The Brave and the Bold, set to be directed by Andy Muschietti.
Fans have been buzzing with excitement over the idea of Jensen Ackles playing Batman in James Gunn’s upcoming DC Universe film, The Brave and The Bold.
Jensen Ackles quickly emerged as a fan favorite for his role as Soldier Boy in the Amazon Prime Video hit series The Boys . He’s set to star in a spin-off of the popular series titled Vought Rising and is also featured in a new crime series, Countdown, that was recently released.
