Delta Air Lines announced it will begin direct flights from Minneapolis to Rome, Italy, in May 2025. The company said it is also adding several other new routes from U.S. hubs that include Catania, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Dublin and Brussels. There will also be increased service for other established European routes.

The new route is part of a big announcement from Delta Air Lines on Friday, unveiling its largest-ever slate of trans-Atlantic flights which will have a big focus on Italy in summer 2025. The airline will offer four weekly nonstop flights from MSP to Rome,
