Nick Kyrgios’ planned return to Grand Slam tennis at the Australian Open is in doubt after he sustained an abdominal injury and was forced to withdraw from an exhibition with Novak Djokovic this week.

Nick Kyrgios ’s return to the Australian Open has been thrown into doubt amid a fresh injury scare. The Australian, who reached the Wimbledon final in 2022, returned to action in Brisbane last week after playing only one singles match since October 2022 following knee and wrist surgeries.

Nick Kyrgios is in doubt to return to his home turf at the Australian Open in the next week. He has suffered a grade one abdominal strain after his return to the court at the Brisbane International last week.
