As revealed this morning via YouTube, Hollow Knight: Silksong is officially releasing on September 4! No, this isn’t some dream, nor is this some late April Fool’s joke; it’s the real deal! Give the trailer a watch, you’ll see we aren’t lying. Back? See, I told you, and unless a comet hits the planet, that release date is fully locked in.

"Play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song!" reads the official description.

Unfortunately, this only added to the sense of disappointment once we finally got to play the game and found it to be… fine.
