Rain, tropical-storm-force winds and even the potential for some tornadoes are possible for some portions of Florida with Hurricane Rafael.

Some of the models suggest that Rafael may even do a small loop out in the Gulf. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure near Puerto Rico is bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms to the area but has a low chance of development over the next week.

National Hurricane Center forecasters say there's a 70% chance that a system develops over the southwestern Caribbean Sea over the next two days.

AccuWeather: "We suspect there will be another attempt for a tropical depression or tropical storm to brew in the western Caribbean" next week.

Rafael weakened overnight into a tropical storm and continues taking a westerly path. A system near the Bahamas could bring heavy rains to that area.
