I’m Still Here star Fernanda Torres dedicated her Golden Globes best actress in a drama win to her mother, Fernanda Montenegro, who was nominated in 1999 for Central Station. Montenegro was the first Brazilian actress to be nominated 25 years ago, and now her daughter is the second, Torres told Entertainment Tonight ahead of the show.

Torres is the daughter of actor Fernanda Montenegro, who was previously nominated in the same category in 1999 for Central Station. She was nominated for an Oscar for the same role, eventually losing to Gwyneth Paltrow. Montenegro was the first Brazilian female actor to be nominated, with her daughter now becoming the second.
