Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray haven't decided whether to continue their player-coach partnership. Djokovic hired his former rival as his coach for the Australian Open, where the Serbian reached the semifinal round.

Novak Djokovic admitted it was disappointing for him and Andy Murray to see their first tournament in an unfortunate way and also said that they would sit down for a conversation and see if continuing their partnership makes sense.

Novak Djokovic's run at the 2025 Australian Open ended in the semifinals. The former world number 1 tried in every way to recover from the adductor injury that had affected him in the previous round, but the miracle did not succeed this time and he had to retire at the end of the first set against Sascha Zverev.

Djokovic has showered the Scot with praise for his coaching efforts and appears keen to continue the arrangement, but Murray was tight-lipped, saying: “Me and Novak agreed that after the tournament we would speak. We’ll do that.”
