Search efforts in Kerr County have reduced the missing count to two after July Fourth floods, with one young girl and an adult man still unaccounted for.
The body of a woman who was missing in the devastating July 4 floods has been found, according to Gov. Greg Abbott. Abbott said Task Force 1 — one of the search teams deployed in response — recovered the body in the Kerrville area. He announced the discovery in a post on X at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday.
On Tuesday, the Senate Committee on State Affairs passed a bill that would eliminate the majority of hemp products in Texas.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced late Tuesday that the number of people still missing from the catastrophic July 4 flash floods in Central Texas has now dropped to just two individuals: one adult male and one young girl from Camp Mystic.
"Texas is grateful for the outpouring of support," the governor said on Tuesday, as recovery efforts continue.
